INSTALLATION AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE THERMOWAVE FRICTION WATER HEATER General Installation Instructions: 1) Obtain a union that matches the existing one mounted to the discharge side of your pump and a small amount of standard PVC glue. 2) Drain all water from the bath and disconnect the power source. 3) Cut both discharge lines on the left and right side of the existing tee above the union. Cut as close to the tee as possible. 4) Unscrew the union and tee, and remove. 5) Glue the new union onto the Thermowave unit with standard PVC glue. Let dry for approximately 15 minutes. 6) Mount the Thermowave and the attached union onto the pump and tighten the union. 7) Glue the cut discharge lines into the sides of the Thermowave. 8) Allow 8 hours for the glue to set prior to using the bath. WARNING: The Consumer Products Safety Commission has stated that the water temperature in a bath should not exceed 104 degrees F. Immersion in water in excess of 104 degrees F could be hazardous to your health. Children, aged persons, persons having medical problems, and pregnant women should consult their physicians before using a whirlpool bath. Whirlpool baths should not be used by persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol or by persons taking medication which induces drowsiness. Temperature Control: 1) To increase the temperature of your bath simply turn off the airflow into your bath. The temperature will increase approximately 1/10 of a degree every 5 minutes. This may vary dependent on the model of your bath and the size of the pump. 2) To maintain the temperature add a small amount of airflow to the bath. 3) To reduce the temperature add a large amount of airflow to the bath.
